Who we are

Window Screens Repair is a mobile screen repair company based in San Diego, California, founded in 2024 and operating throughout San Diego County. The business is owned by Oscar London and trades under Sunstone Advising LLC. We are a small, deliberately small, outfit: three people including office staff, and two fully stocked service vans.

Everything we do happens at your house. We build screens on site in the van, which is why a job that would otherwise take two trips and a week takes one visit and an hour. There is no shop to drop screens off at, no waiting for a callback, and nothing gets taken away and brought back another day.

What we work on

Three things, and only these three, because doing a narrow set of work well beats doing everything adequately:

• Window screens. Re-screening an existing frame with new mesh and spline, and building new screens to fit when a frame is bent, corroded or missing. Casement screens with lip frames for crank-out windows included.
• Sliding screen doors. New mesh, rollers cleaned and lubricated, track cleaned and straightened, door height adjusted. New doors built to fit the existing track when the old one is past saving.
• Sliding glass patio doors. The heavy glass door, not the screen. Rollers, tracks, locks and alignment, plus fixed panel removal when the rollers cannot be reached any other way.

Mesh options are standard fiberglass, pet-resistant, solar sun screen and fine no-see-um. We keep all four on the van.

Since starting in 2024 we have completed more than 450 jobs across San Diego County. Our Google rating is 5.0 stars from 82 reviews — every review, no exceptions. That is a number we watch closely, because in a trade where most companies will not publish a price and will not give you a straight answer about repair versus replace, the review record is the only thing a homeowner can actually check before letting someone into their house.

How we price

We publish our prices, which almost nobody in this trade does. Re-screening starts at $45 for a small screen and $65 for a standard screen, new screens at $89, sliding screen door service at $159. There is a $159 minimum service call, and it is applied to the work rather than added on top of it — a mobile visit costs what it costs whether we rebuild one screen or twelve, so the cheapest way to buy this service is to gather up everything that needs attention and handle it in one trip. Prices are the same everywhere in our service area. Your ZIP code does not change what you pay, and neither does whether you are a new customer or a repeat one.

All of San Diego County. We regularly work in San Diego, Chula Vista, Coronado, La Jolla, Point Loma, Imperial Beach, El Cajon, Spring Valley, Bonita, Eastlake, National City and La Mesa.

Who we work for

About half our work is homeowners with a handful of torn screens and a patio door that has started to stick. The other half is property managers, landlords and vacation rental owners who need a whole unit’s screens sorted between tenants and an invoice sent to the management company rather than the resident. We do both, and we are set up to invoice either way.
